Co-Active life coaching is a powerful and equal alliance between you and me, designed specifically for you, to enable you to achieve extraordinary results through a process of self-discovery, goal setting, action and measurable outcomes.
Co-Active Coaching is a process that helps determine:
- Where you are...
- Where you would like to be...
- How to get from here to there.
Co Active Coaching is driven by questions that help you discover needed insights.
- You are the expert on your life...
- Your coach is the expert on asking you the right questions so that you discover how to move forward.
Co-Active Coaching is action oriented.
- You decide on the actions that will move you forward, and how you would like to be held accountable.
- Your coach provides the accountability to keep you moving forward.
Co-Active Coaching is different from Therapy or Counseling.
- Therapy says, "What is broken, and how can we fix it?"
- Counseling says, "Tell me your problem, and I will give you advice."
Even though the process of Co-Active Coaching may at times deal with the past, and may include some advice, coaching is focused more on dealing with your present situation and shaping your future and stepping into the life you want to live or the business you want to have.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION
Who do you typically coach?
Typically, my clients are men and women who are visionary, creative and want more out of life, business or career (i.e. no more words like boring, dull, same old same old etc.). They come from diverse backgrounds and are at various stages of life.
Will everything we discuss be confidential?
Yes, everything that is discussed during your coaching session remains completely confidential and I will not give out your name without permission. I adhere to the strict professional ethics and rigorous competency guidelines of the International Coach Federation. You, however, are free to discuss with anyone what happens in our sessions.
How long can I expect to be involved with coaching?
I recommend you commit to coaching for a minimum of 3-6 months, as the benefits of coaching build over time. With many of my clients, I have developed long term relationships through which, after having taken a break, they return to coaching when a new milestone, goal, or perspective has surfaced. I am also happy to coach you for a short-term focus if you have an immediate project or goal on which you are working.
How will I know if you are the right coach for me?
I offer a free session during which you can tell me what has brought you to consider coaching and we can explore how coaching can possibly support you in your endeavor. I’m also happy to provide you with additional resources and to introduce you to other coaches to consider. It usually becomes quite clear if we are a good fit and then, if it’s a go, the next step is to arrange an initial discovery session where we would cover all the logistics such as when and how we would meet, payment schedules etc.
Where do we meet for our sessions?
Almost all of the coaching I do is over the phone. There are many benefits such as: no time lost traveling to and from our sessions and no travel costs. It also allows us to work together no matter where you are physically. You could virtually live anywhere and we could work together. In person sessions can be arranged if that is your preference, but I think once you try coaching over the phone you’ll see how effective it is.
How much does coaching cost?
A typical coaching session lasts 40-60 minutes and we would meet two to three times per month, depending on your needs. An initial 3-6 month commitment is recommended as this gives us a chance to instill the changes you want to make and move you forward. Remember you are investing in yourself and based on this your investment in yourself would be between $200.00-$300.00 per month. Included in this would be “flash coaching” where you could call or email me between our scheduled sessions to address real time issues or to share a break through.
